From Stone to Screen: Digital Tools for Epigraphy

A training event for Phd and Early Career Researchers

This event is organised by UGent and KU Leuven and will take place at Gent and Leuven on from 30/11 to 2/12/2026. The training program will cover topics such as text encoding, epigraphic datasets and databases, AI tools, Linked Open Data for epigraphy, and planning the digital component of a digital epigraphy project. The final program and Call for Participants will be announced in mid-September. Thanks to generous funding from DARIAH, we expect to offer a number of bursaries to cover travel and accommodation costs. There are a limited number of spaces for participants and a selection will be made if interest exceeds capacity.
